At Central Studio Academy, we believe dance is more than steps — it’s about building confidence, creativity, and community. We offer dance classes for kids, pre-teens, and teens year-round, including ballet, tap, jazz, aerial arts, tumbling, and performance programs.
With two welcoming locations in the Central West End and Webster Groves, we’re proud to help young dancers across St. Louis discover their passion and grow both on and off the stage.

Kinder Movement
Ages 3-5. Children will learn the basics of coordination, movement and dance while making new friends! This dance program includes Kinders in Motion, Kinder Hip Hop, KinderDance 1 and KinderDance 2.
Kinder Movement introduces kids to the grace of ballet and rhythm of tap dancing. Each dance class opens with a circle time social activity and gentle stretching to foster connectivity with peers. Partial and single class options available mid-season.
Foundation Level
Ages 6-10. In the Foundation Program your dancer will continue to explore movement through Aerial Silks, Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, Tumbling and Jazz classes. These classes build upon the students’ previous year by including more techniques and dances to be learned. Each session is tailored to nurture coordination, body confidence, cognitive development, and a strong mind-body connection. At this level students are given more of a push as they perform without their instructors assistance, building their memory and confidence
Based on experience and age, students will be matched to the appropriate starting point in the program.
No past dance experience is required to participate.
Progression Level
Ages 11-17. Our comprehensive curriculum offers a range of classes, including Aerial Silks, Ballet, Tap, Pre-pointe, Pointe, Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Performance Techniques, conducted in intimate group settings to nurture individual growth. Whether you're soaring through the air, perfecting a pirouette, or mastering the rhythm of tap, our Central Studio Academy invites you to explore the boundaries of dance, encouraging discipline, creativity, and a deeper connection to self-expression through movement.

Summer Camps & Dance Classes
Week-long summer camp & summer dance classes are creatively designed to keep imagination and exploration alive through the summer months in St. Louis.
A camp day includes elements of dance, visual arts, crafts, learning, and confidence-building through immersive experiences.
Central Studio Academy Performances
Our dance studio productions offer students a fully immersive dance and theater experience that goes far beyond a typical recital. In this collaborative, hands-on setting, dancers of all ages work together with artistic mentors to bring a fully realized stage production to life—from movement and storytelling to staging and performance.
At Central Studio Academy, our instructors bring more than just experience—they bring heart, mentorship, and a deep love for the art of dance. Each teacher has extensive training in technique, performance, and dance education, and many perform professionally with local companies like Ballet 314 and St. Louis Dance Theatre. They’re not only skilled dancers—they’re dedicated guides who meet each student where they are and help them grow with confidence, precision, and creativity.
